UNIT 10 - PERSONAL ASSESSMENT

When I compared my unit 3 evaluation and my final evaluation on unit 9, I realized that my initial evaluation was incorrect. My scores were higher on unit 3 because I didn’t explore deep enough. However, after a more comprehensive evaluation, I acknowledged the areas I truly need to work on. Being honest to myself helped me open my mind, my heart and my soul so I can improve in all aspects.
However, I think I’ve come a long way since I started this class and I can defiantly see my progress. Practicing meditation and utilizing other techniques that aid relaxation it’s making a great difference in my overall wellbeing and I know I am getting closer to achieve my goals.

I’ve implemented different activities and I’ve been able to stay motivated by seeing the results and focusing in what works best for me.

My overall experience throughout this course has been AMAZING. I’ve improved in many ways and the experience has been both rewarding and difficult. At first, it was not easy for me to engage in meditation and it got to be somewhat frustrating at times, but I keep trying and I was able to see the results so my efforts were rewarded. I think this experience has enabled me to help others that are experiencing the same issues, and this would be a GREAT asset in my career as a Health and Wellness professional.

  1. We have gained a lot of appropriate knowledge to help better serve our clientele. This is what I like mostly about this class. Yes, I have been able to incorporate exercises that help me, but I was just telling my junior Marines yesterday of how they could benefit from controlling their thoughts and relaxing the nerves. Our job can be stressful at times, but it is only as stressful as you make it. I was also incorrect on my initial assessment. Now that I have explored my wellbeing in each category closely, I know there is a lot of improvement to be done. Good luck on your paved road.

  2. Hi Gabby - It is amazing how far a little self awareness can improve your overall health. I agree it can be difficult at times, but the benefits outweigh giving up. This class has taught me a lot and I have grown tremendously since the onset of the term and am anxious to continue and see where this journey takes me. Good luck on your journey! Peace!

  3. Hi Gabby! I felt the exact same ways about my results from unit 3 to unit 10. It is amazing how once you really get a full understanding of yourself psychologically, physically and spiritually or realize that what you thought was really good, probably isn't! Great job on the mediation too! Good luck to you in the future! : )

  4. Hi Gabby. It has been so wonderful getting to know you. I am so blessed to have you as a classmate. It is amazing how much our life improves when we take responsiblity for how we "feel" about things in our life and know that we are the one who makes the choices. Sometimes the choice for me is good - sometimes it's not but I have to realize that I cannot blame anyone or anything else for what was my choice to begin with. I think if more people spend more time living life instead of just reacting to it they would have a much happier outlook and much less stress in their life. Life will always have challenges but it doesn't mean we have to let those challenges control how we feel. thanks for sharing :)
